Grins

The Jackolantern floats,
grinning on the water.
People pass by,
smile
and say "how are you?"
The Jackolantern nods,
grinning on the waves,
while a girl lies
beneath the surface
drowning,
pretending nothing is
wrong, and hoping.
Hoping that no one notices.

Senioritis

What is a senior to do when it isn't even halfway through first term and she/he is already ready to move on? I am so incredibly ready to move on, and yet... My goodness. I'm so fickle. *sigh*
