First of all I’d like to apologize for this blog being late. My computer is completely messed and wouldn’t let me open anything. So, better late than never I guess. Now, on to my analysis…
“Christmas time is here…. Filling us with cheer….” I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! Everything about Christmas makes me happy inside. Singing Christmas songs, eating Christmas foods, smelling Christmas smells, seeing Christmas decorations, reading the Christmas story, Feeling THE Christmas Feeling, the whole shebang!!! Just the thought of Christmas makes me giddy. But tragically even though Christmas makes me SOOOO happy, I have to wait until after Thanksgiving to say, sing, watch, or do anything even remotely related to Christmas. My dad insists that nothing Christmas can enter our lives before Thanksgiving is over. It stinks. Why do some people LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Christmas, and others pooh-pooh on it?
I have collected some theories as to why humbugs like my dad are biased against Christmas. The first one comes from my dad himself. He thinks that Christmas will cease to be special if we do too much with it before December arrives. While I see how he feels this way, I don’t agree. I think Christmas is special no matter when, why, or what we think about it. The magic of Christmas is always magic.
Another theory is Scrooges are just that, Scrooges. They don’t like to see others be too happy about Christmas, so they limit how long and how much others can celebrate. Not that my dad is a Scrooge, he just doesn’t like to have too much Christmas, which brings me to my next theory.
Maybe some people have a low Christmas magic tolerance. If they get too much, they can’t enjoy it. I think that my dad has a low Christmas tolerance.
“Christmas is coming the goose is getting fat. Please put a penny in the old man’s hat.”
I am very excited for Christmas! (can you tell?) Are YOU?

Yes, I am so excited for Christmas, especially since I have tickets to the Mormon Tabernacle choir Christmas concert!!! I do understand the theory of Christmas ceasing to be special if we do too much with it before hand, I just don't really feel that way. Christmas is so great we should always keep the Christmas spirtit all year long.

If we were all communists and I was a dictator, I'd make everyone celebrate Christmas all year. The only problem would be that we'd all have to be communists. Although I wouldn't mind being a dictator. Jk. I love Christmas. Too bad some people are humbugs.

Christmas has so much more meaning than Thanksgiving...

No it doesn't

Yes it does. All Thanksgiving is about is stuffing your face with yucky food.

Thanksgiving is not just about stuffing your face with yummy food, although it is a bonus. Thanksgiving is about being grateful, and gratitude is important. Many people only think of the food not gratitude, just like they only think of presents and Christmas trees and forget about the Christ part of Christmas.
