Why are traditions important?

Traditions bring happiness, especially Christmas ones. Every year my family and I go to see a movie on Christmas Eve. After the movie, we go out to eat, usually at a Mexican restaurant. Then we go home and do the Christmas nativity. Bedtime is next. All my brothers and sisters sleep downstairs in the family room. On Christmas morning we wake up really early and watch cartoons until six-ish. We are then allowed to wake up our parents. We march upstairs, yelling and singing, to wake them up. My father always goes through an act. He says he needs to shave and shower. The kids all get upset and some even cry. After that we all go into the front room and open presents. This Christmas tradition is what makes Christmas fun. It brings my family together. Traditions are important because they bring families together.
